Delete your Housey account

Permanently delete your account and associated personal data.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Housey and sign in.
  2. Open Settings. If you are not in a house, use the settings button on the Create or Join screen.
  3. Select Delete Account and confirm.
  4. Complete the password, Google, or Apple verification shown by Housey.

Verified in-app deletion begins immediately and signs you out when complete.

Request deletion without the app

Email help@housey.io from the address associated with your Housey account. Use the subject “Housey account deletion request” and include the account email address.

We may ask you to verify account ownership. Never send your password or authentication codes. Verified requests are processed without unreasonable delay, and we confirm when deletion is complete.

What deletion removes

  • Your Firebase authentication account and Housey profile.
  • Your authored chat messages, reactions, delivery/read references, and temporary presence or typing state.
  • Your cleaning sessions and references in other members’ block lists.
  • If you are the host, the house, its chat, cleaning schedule, and member access.

Limited retention

Safety reports and limited operational records may be retained when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, prevent fraud, secure the service, or meet legal obligations. Retained records are not used to continue providing the deleted account.
